ump bump
I drew a doodle of Kiyoshi Nakahata, the current Yokohama Baystars manager, bumping an ump (that resulted in his ejection), for my friend Dennis a few weeks ago. A few days ago, he came back after a game with this photo of him and Nakahata-san with the signed doodle! He told me Nakahata-san thought it was funny and was grinning throughout when he signed it. And now I can't stop grinning myself because this is amazing and kind of awesome.

happy birthday sho!
Happy birthday Sho! Super late I know, aw. :) I made this a day ago for Sho Nakata, one of my favourite players in the NPB. He just became a new papa this year with a lovely baby daughter (that I hope he takes to games in the future). :) Hee, I know she's just a wee little baby right now, but it's how I imagine her when she grows up with Papa Sho by her side. :) Best wishes on you and your family, Sho! I'll be cheering you on always. :)

i say 'papa' you say 'oh'
Did this over the weekend -- supposed to be a landscape/painting thing (as you can see on the back, ahaha) but it ended up as Otani Shohei instead. :) I can't express how much I love the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. I've been a fan since 2008 (this was before I started following the Giants) and it just makes me happy that I'm still here cheering them on. Ah, and you can also see it here, in a recent Tofugu article, about what else, yakyu. :)

like a boss
Often I'd doodle about things that I need to work on my kendo (which basically falls along the lines of, 'things i need to work on: EVERYTHING', hahaha). I rarely take notes, but I draw about them.
...So this is basically the only thing I could remember on the last Monday practice (besides my shoddy footwork and shoddy everything). Cockroaches should never mess with my senpai. (This never really happened, but I kind of imagined it did)

aye yo
If there's anything I'd like to improve and use more, it's doodle gifs, because they are fun and dynamic and adds a lot to my crummy and no-fun doodles. I'm trying to draw more with less lines and getting my colours right. I just need to work harder and make more frames, yeaaaa. :)))

excuse me as i flail incoherently in the internet
LET ME TELL YOU A STORY ABOUT HOW ALMOST EVERYONE IN THE CAST OF MY MAD FAT DIARY MADE MY WEEK. I MAY OR MAY NOT START RAMBLING IN CAPSLOCK. THIS POST MAY OR MAY NOT BE LITTERED WITH RUN-ON SENTENCES. I AM NOT SORRY.
OKAY SO. If you've followed my Twitter for quite awhile now, you might've noticed me flailing about My Mad Fat Diary. (In capslock. In really long hashtags. And very, very annoyingly so.) A few days ago I've also put out a few doodles up my blog and to my surprise, Sophie Wright (the girl playing Tix) had her own Tumblr, saw it, and reblogged it. I almost lost it when I saw her tweet it to Sharon Rooney (Rae) and gushed about it via Twitter.

I WAS FREAKING OUT
I MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE JUMPED LIKE A KID AND MADE A NOISE SIMILAR TO THAT OF A SEAL'S WHEN I SAW IT
My friend coaxed me into tweeting her, so I did. I never expected a reply but then:
I also sent her a message in her Tumblr to which she replied to as well. Because this cast is the bee's knees, obv.
AND THEN A DAY LATER CIARA SAW/REBLOGGED/TWEETED MY IZZY/CHOP DOODLE AND GUSHED ABOUT IT IN TUMBLR
BUT LET'S BE REAL. WHAT REALLY TOOK THE CAKE WAS THIS:

Finn and Rae from My Mad Fat Diary. I’m smitten with the two and I shall sit here and draw MMFD things as I wait for Series 2 (which wouldn’t take so long… Well, hopefully!). ♥
